The region saw its lowest venture capital deal count in years in the first quarter as coronavirus slowed the economy in March.
There were three investment deals worth $6 million in the metro Orlando area between Jan. 1-March 31, according to the Venture Monitor report released by PitchBook and the National Venture Capital Association on April 14. The three deals recorded in the past quarter is the lowest number in any quarter included in the Venture Monitor data, which goes back to first-quarter 2013. Read more here.
